Run report: July 22

Run # 1563
22 July 2012
Hare: Dripper
Start: The Pines, Darlington

The pre-run surprise was provided by Scarlett Runnerbean, by means of her guest “Velvet”.  Velvet was a small horse, or “pony” as is the technical term.  I love ponies … but I couldn’t eat a whole one. (yes…sad I know, but I couldn’t resist)

The Hare had walkers and runners starting off together down the back of Darlington.  I had my handy GPS tracker in my pocket, planning to upload a nifty Google satellite view of the run afterwards (for which I was fined!), but of course the stupid device refused to find any satellites…one bump too many methinks.

We crossed the little stream there in Darlington, and for a minute I thought we might head up the bloody steep hill way out the back of beyond–but thankfully we turned about and rounded back home through the guts of the township/village/what-have-you.

Passiona allegedly performed a bit of shortcutting at the end…that (alleged) scoundrel!

Some run badges were awarded in the circle.  Congratulations toMadonna for hitting 500 runs.
Apart from that, not much more to it really.

Bit of a short report.  Feel free to add your two cents in the comments.

On-on,
El Keeno

Great run Dripper enjoyed myself even if I did loose the walker trail and have to keep up with the runners.

Excellent website Hash Hacker. Thanks for the ‘total runs’ list update – I’d better get to it and get some mugs/plates/feet organised!
