Hare: Dosh and Little Weed
On On: somewhere in Walliston

Mother’s Day competed with Hash for participants, but we ended up with enough to get going (and somehow enough nibblies to feed an army at the end).

Dosh informed us it was a short 6 km run, as opposed to a long 6 km run. (It felt like a short 10 km run to me.)

It was quite a lovely spot of bush to run through…quite a lot of narrow, snaking trails. There were a lot of checks, and the trails started immediately after, keeping the pace fast. At one point I became slightly disoriented and couldn’t quite find my way back onto the trail. Luckily, after a bit of wandering parallel to the calls of Passiona and Dripper, I discovered the trail and only had to wait a minute before they joined me. Quite fortuitous, I must say. 😉

One lucky moment also involved Passiona realising we had actually rejoined the outward trail and were now about to run the whole run for a second time, so thankfully after having only gone a hundred metres or so, we turned around and found the actual trail.

On returning home we discovered Skimpy and Free Beer, having arrived late and done their own thing. Skimpy was rightly fined in the circle, and Free Beer likewise for following him. Lady Gaga was fined for being gorgeous. (I’m still waiting to be brought up on the same charge…*sniff.) Pickups for the run were rather measly…some bit of plastic. Not up to par, I must say!

Walkers wandered around and did whatever it is they do… bless ’em.

All in all, a good run, and much better than seeing my rotten mum (just kidding!, love ya, Mum).
