Hare: Dripper
On On: Mountain Quarry, Boya

It’s telling when it rains hard enough during the day to wash away the Hare’s flour tin while he’s still setting the run, but thankfully the downpours had eased by 4 o’clock. The run involved a fair amount of “up”, but admittedly it could have been worse.  One particularly nasty false trail had Passiona and I almost affixing our crampons and tossing up ropes…before sending us back again, 30 seconds shy of succumbing to nose bleeds. The trail reached just before the Goat Trail, hair-pinned just below Greenmount Library and led us home along the old railway/bridle path.

Down-downs were applied to the that infamous scoundrel Passiona for short-cutting, and also Pablo for materialising well ahead of the pack.
Lady Gaga received a stiff ginger beer for baring her new shoes.
Pickup Chick snagged a pack of smokes with FOUR brand new dorries still unlit.  Score.
Leapfrog received dishonourable mention for leading the walkers astray in the first five seconds of the walk, and Dripper also for expecting she wouldn’t.
There was more…and something about me wearing pink frilly ladies undies over my monk’s habit.  Nothing to see here; move along.  Any photos pertaining to this are surely forgeries.

Lastly, and seriously, one of the cars was broken into (smashed driver’s side window) and some items stolen.  Not much we can do if we are all out and about during the run, but if anyone noticed anything out of the ordinary, they could perhaps contact GPS.

On On,
El Keeno
